ProTools at UB

To record to ProTools using the Audio Board in Audio "B":

Turn on the Mac Computer and launch your ProTools project.

On the Audio Board:

  1. Put your source in the appropriate machine (e.g. cassette deck, cd player, etc.)
  2. Raise the approriate pot and set the level (you're watching the two vu meters on the right)
  3. Turn up the blue Pot labeled "Mac" and raise it until the level matches the level of the source (this is the left vu meter).
  4. Turn up the pot labeled Mac/Aux Send 3 (it's just above the red master fader pot and to the right of the headphones pot) until you get a good level in ProTools. You're watching the master fader (it's a green to yellow moving line) Odb is just into the yellow zone.
  5. Click the "rec" button in the track. Click the round record button on the controller, and click play.
