Adobe InDesign [Part 2]

Prerequisites:	Adobe InDesign (part 1), or a fundamental understanding of InDesign.
Cost:	$200 (students currently enrolled in the School of Communications Design)
	$250 (all others)
Dates:	Winter 2009 - Tuesday thru Thursday, Jan 20 - 22, 5:30pm-8pm Spring 2009 - Tuesday thru Thursday, Jun 9 - 11, 5:30pm-8pm

Topics include:

• Review of basic skills and specific problem areas as needed and determined by students
• Further exploration of typography: kerning, text on paths, Find Fonts
• Further exploration of paragraph formatting: hanging indents, tab stops (with leaders), rethreading text
• Use of drop shadows and object styles
• Creating, formating, and styling Tables
• Using Master Pages and auto page numbering
• Using Find/Change (by content or by formatting)
• Understanding and using the Links palette, Preflight and document Packaging
• Creating PDFs (of varying types)

Hands-on projects will relate to the above topics. Your registration fee includes all booklets and instruction manuals used in the course for you to keep.

Students work on individual Macintosh. Instructors use advanced screen-sharing technology to allow all participants an up-close view of techniques, and can share users' screens with the class to demonstrate procedures.
